NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship: The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) offers Masters and PhD Scholarships for Nigerian students from the Niger Delta to study abroad.* As part of our Human Resource Development initiatives, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, is commencing the 2023 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarship Programme, to equip Niger Deltans with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the Local Content programme of the Federal Government, as well as compete globally in various professional fields.*

3. Fully Funded 2024 Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship Programme for African Commonwealth Nationals.

Applications are now open for citizens of Commonwealth countries in Africa to join the prestigious Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship programme.

Set up in 2022, the fellowship is a unique platform for cybersecurity experts from Commonwealth countries in Africa to exchange knowledge, foster partnerships and influence the policy work of the Commonwealth Secretariat.* Selected experts will serve as fellows for a year. They get exclusive access to academic research opportunities, networking events and annual conferences, with a focus on enhancing cybersecurity policies and institutions across Commonwealth countries in Africa.*

Eligibility Requirement

Any citizen of a Commonwealth country in Africa, between the age of 21 and 65, can apply to join the fellowship.
Applicants must also have at least five years of work experience in cybersecurity in the fields of law, policymaking, telecommunications, academia or related sectors.

Over 80% of Fortune 100 companies conduct hackathons to drive innovation. I4G HACKFest 2023 will be conducting a virtual Hackathon in partnership with FCMB.* This is the right time to go beyond the four walls of the bank and leverage FCMB APIs to promote Open Banking Initiatives. It will run for over 50 hours where African techies will collaborate and virtually build proofs of concept and minimum viable products (MVPs).* The I4G Hackathon is brought to you by Ingressive For Good in partnership with FCMB. The Hackathon brings together techies across Africa including developers, engineers, students, designers, idea generators and other stakeholders in the tech space to drive sustainable innovations and build projects that address pressing real-life business problems and social issues. It will run for over 50 hours. African techies will collaborate and virtually build proofs of concept and minimum viable products (MVPs) for a specific pre-defined problem.*

The Hackathon participants are a broad, diverse community of technology enthusiasts, programmers, developers, system testers, UI/UX designers, society activists, industry leaders, government representatives, technologists, journalists, academics, volunteers, and creatives from Africa. You too can be a part.* This year’s Hackathon will be virtual and held from the 27th – 29th of October. A combination of several tools will be used to streamline the collaboration between participants, facilitators and mentors. In lieu of this, a series of orientation sessions will be organized to familiarize each group of stakeholders to ensure they are abreast with all the tools and well prepared for smooth production.*
